Intellectual Knowing Isn’t Enough

Intellectual knowing isn’t enough.

You can know everything there is to know about something and still not be able to live it.

You can know that you should rest, and still keep working.

You can know that you want to say no, and still say yes.

You can know that you want to speak up, and still stay quiet.

You can know that something isn’t working for you, and still keep doing it.

Knowing something intellectually is only the beginning.

It needs integration.

And integration happens when the knowledge moves from your head into your body and your life.

That’s where things get interesting.

Because suddenly you are not just thinking about a different way of being.

You are actually experiencing it.

You are trying something new.

You are noticing what happens.

You are learning from your experience.

And little by little, what you knew becomes something you actually know.

Not just intellectually.

But in your bones.
