Notice, Trust, Value

“Do what you want.” “Say what you desire.” “Just choose.”

Yes, I want to… but I can’t. What’s wrong with me? Why don’t I do what I want, say what I desire or just choose and move on? Am I weak willed, scared to be seen or heard or indecisive?

Maybe the core of the matter lies deeper. Maybe I don’t know what I want or desire.

This was the case for me and I am not alone. Women aren’t encouraged to find their wants, needs and desires. Desire. Do you hear the naughty, slightly “dirty” vibration this word carries? Active desire is for men. Passive desire is for women. Men should desire and go for it/her. Women should only be desired. The more a woman is passively desired and the less she actively desires the better.

So what can we do to relearn desire?

Notice – Trust – Value.

When I heard Betty Martin mention this internal process I knew this is gold.

I know from my own experience that there is so much going on before I even speak my desire. First, I need to notice it, which can be pretty difficult already. Then I have to trust that this is a real desire of mine. Thirdly, I need to value my desire. This comes in various forms: “Am I worthy of having this desire fulfilled?” Or even “Should I have this desire or does society / religion / my partner tell me that it is unimportant / sinful / crazy?”

Let us open our dusty boxes full of desires and peek in. What is still alive? What is ready to breathe fresh air? What desire has been hammering against the lid for a long time and demands to be pursued?

What to do next?

Be still. Open the chest of desires. Notice what happens. Relax. Take one desire and notice, trust and value it the best you can. Celebrate yourself! You’ve just gone further than many people around you.

How to experience pleasure in your next business meeting

This is not about going to dream world or fantasizing through your day.
This is about you experiencing pleasure whenever TF you want. At home? Yes! At a party? Yes! At work? Of course! I would even argue that this often is the place we need it the most. Agreed? Then let’s get real.

First, the basics:
WHAT do you need to experience pleasure? Yes, your BODY.
WHO do you need to experience pleasure? You tell me, but the minimum is: YOURSELF.

Then the How:
What do you find pleasurable? Firm touch, a light stroke, tickling, relaxing your face, running your hands through your hair, pulsating your pelvic floor muscles, gently blowing on your skin… Make your own list.

You are responsible for your pleasure.
It is in your power to experience pleasure whenever you want.

Lastly, the action:
That’s an easy one. Wherever you are, your body is as well, covering the basics for pleasure: your body and you.
So let’s add an action from your list. As it could be awkward to ask your colleague to massage your shoulders during a lab meeting or strategy meeting, just do it yourself. Put the phone aside, stretch your fingers and go! Caress your forearm and face, pulsate some muscles and touch your breasts (you won’t be first one to do that and my mission is that you will definitely not be the last!).

Bonus step, but really not optional at all, but instead the whole point of this:
ENJOY!
Be present with the sensations in your body, really take in the feelings of this delicious belly rub or short hand massage.
Don’t worry if anybody notices anything. Most probably everyone is in their own world and doesn’t pay attention to a small movement. And if someone does, smile at them – you are feeling good after all

Our voice is important and powerful

The story that I share with you today came up when I was being coached by a fellow sex, love and relationship coach. I felt into my womb and was open for any sensations, emotions, messages from this powerful place. I saw myself sitting in a dark brown cave all alone. Nobody cared what I was doing there and I saw no point in sharing it. The picture zoomed out – like in a movie – and I saw thousands of similar caves with also only one person in each – I’m thinking “Matrix” here ;-). Everyone was alone, there was no communication between the persons in the capsules.
Suddenly some other aspects of me came into my cave, the lights went on, we had music and a party. We had a really good time with a relaxed and joyful vibe. The music was loud enough to reach my immediate neighbours and also the light from my cave spread a bit outside. I didn’t push anything, it just happened. Eventually people from other units were inspired to get up and join us. I saw the light spreading further and further, bringing joy to so many. It reminded my of a beehive with the single cells that are still connected and belong together.

I believe that everyone’s voice is important. You and me make a difference and other people can benefit from what we have to say. But first we have to share it, so that others get the chance to hear it. There are so many stories of a single person saying and doing something, which radically changed our world – be it in medicine, technology, humanity or human rights.
I think it makes a difference if I share or not. I believe that I bring value to other people’s lives. That’s my motivation and intention for this blog, my Sensual Women’s Circle, my coaching and all the things that I’m about to create.
Would you benefit from my experience if I wouldn’t share it? I am grateful to my teachers that they shared their knowledge with me freely. I profited a lot from it.
