I get it when you are scared to desire. 

It’s not that desires per se are scary, but what we make them mean can feel scary. That’s because our desires are personal.

If I told you that I am learning Portuguese you’d maybe be surprised, but why not learn Portuguese. 

If I told you I am learning Portuguese because I want to partially live in Portugal in a house on a cliff overlooking the ocean while I coach and hold women’s retreats there, you’d be getting curious. And I’d be getting nervous. I just told you one of my dreams. I just told you something I am currently working towards. I am taking steps in this direction, yet this vision might never come true. Then what? I feel embarrassed. I exposed my goal and you tell me that I shouldn’t dream big, but rather expect small things and avoid being disappointed when I don’t create this dream of mine. 

You might even tell me now that I should stay in my lane: “Didn’t you study biology? Why don’t you get a job in science again? It makes so much sense.”

My response would be “Because I listen to pussy and I trust her.”

That’s risky. 

So we often don’t talk about our desires. They might come across lofty or unrealistic.

So we don’t even admit our desires to ourselves.

So we don’t even dare to feel our desires.

What a waste of joy, growth, and love. It’s you who has to pay that.

I encourage you to FEEL your desires again and trust yourself.
