If you asked the people around me about my personality, one word would come up over and over again: joyful.
Yes, I smile a ton and bring delight to the humans I interact with, be it while working together or when they see me walking around with a subtle smile on my face.
However, what people might misunderstand about me: Even though I help people experiencing more joy, I don’t believe in positive thinking as the solution to an unhappy life.
I am a woman with many interests and have been engaged in a lot of hobbies and experiences and oftentimes I’ve been far ahead of my time.
While studying biology at the university, I’ve made my own natural cosmetics and learnt a lot about healing plants. Since then my boyfriend lovingly calls me a witch During my Erasmus year in Finland I learnt to play Texas Hold’em and got laughed at when I tried to teach my friends at home this “new” way of playing Poker. I went on to diligently learn the statistics and strategy of the game, as well as the psychology of it.
In Finland I also climbed for the first time and have been coming back to this sport for over 20 years now.
I am skilled in many sports, including Martial Arts and running, where I achieved some great personal goals.
I have decent knowledge and experience in the worlds of wine and beer, including taking part in nation-wide championships both as a brewer as well as a juror.
Many people are amazed by how much I know and have skill in.
I think it’s very easy to get reasonably good at things when you have been living for a few decades, like I have.
The not so secret trick is to stay curious and open-minded.
2 values of mine that I live with all my heart.
I am a generalist and even though I like to learn many things until I’m at an intermediate level, I also have deep knowledge and experience in biology and coaching in particular.
I believe that there is nothing I can’t learn.
But I only learn and engage in what I am passionate about.
Currently you find me bouldering in the gym and climbing on real rock, stand-up paddling on the Danube, learning about the mechanics of power, custom-painting a bamboo bike, doing archery in the forest and learning the science behind joy and how to create it more effectively.
What matters most to YOU these days?
